My last little piece "Rainy night in Burwood" just sold at the Townsville Incognito Art Show ! This is the last of the three pieces I donated for this great initiative this year. Every year, I have a tradition to paint a few of the Italian cars from the amazing IMSMC at Ferragosto from the previous year. Every year so far, those paintings found their rightful collectors at Ferragosto as the cars were recognised by the vehicle owners 🚗 (number plates help lol)

This year I managed two - so come Sunday, please duck into the drummoyneart stall at Ferragosto and see if your car is immortalised in paint. I have lots of other Five Dock themed artwork and gifts this year too.

Spent a very productive and enjoyable day learning from Peter Studley at Gallery57, a workshop focusing on the tricks of the trade painting a beach scene. Peter is an amazing tutor: super knowledgeable and very encouraging, helping students to develop their own unique perspective on a subject. I learnt so much and will take the lessons into my (new) oil painting practice. Thanks Peter!

I started out with some tame looking Trinacrias with flowers and fruits and such but the strong archetype is taking me to some interesting new versions. Perhaps the Gorgon could be the matron of perimenopause
