Well i believe we are all ready for the Grand Opening for tomorrow.

Found the shop 3 weeks ago
Got the keys 2 weeks ago
Now we are ready to open.

The Arcade will have a uplift over the next couple of weeks as I just run out of time and still waiting for stock to arrive. Just a few things out of my hands that we couldn't get done in time

Over all im happy with the results and I hope everyone enjoys this space

We are almost fully set up ive just finish the party room and to be honest it going be hard to get off these couches and finish up what im doing

Been busy today on a couple fronts

The Arcade room is shaping up nicely we have a temporary set-up to open with however I will be building cabinets for them and we done our 1st order of stock which hopefully be in next week we havnt order any boosters stock just yet as unsure which tcg will be played here however sleevs binders and deck boxes have been order as well a nice range of board games and D&D books

Journey of Quokka Gaming Part 5
After 2 years of being out of game and being back as a supporter worker with a young Adult who I met through Retro Switch Gaming and help teach him so valuable life skills though Gaming we are back here.

13 years Experience now with seeing what works and doesnt work Im bringing everything to the table to open hopefully the final form of this journey

From TCG events and watching players learn what will be there new favourite Card game. To telling tales in the Tavern with quest of great importance.

To birthday parties when laugher will be heard all down Aitken St where it be Mario Kart or Smash Bros or some fun Board/Card Games like Panda Party or Gumbo

And our AfterSchool Gaming Session with NDIS Support where all kids feel inculded and without knowing they are learning Socials skills though games like MineCraft Dungeons or Magic Maze

Journey of Quokka Gaming part 4
Being a Support Worker and helping ASD kids became a passion of mine teaching life skills but problem was i couldn't work with as many kids at once and needed an outlet

Retro Switch Gaming Was born.......
With my oldest son being Non Verbal Autistic I wanted to create a safe environment for kids like him and kid i work with that they could have a safe place to feel included

From having AfterSchool sessions and Minecraft workshops to Birthday Parties on weekends it was slowly becoming popular

I was running for 6 months until one day I was cleaning in the laundry and slip backwards and snap my humorous in half.
I ended up having 3 surgeries for the rest of the year and living off a couple of hours sleep every night and with all the hospital visits my passion was dying due to the pain and time I was away suck in a hospital bed I had to make the hard decision to closed down and focus on repairing my arm.

All up 5 surgeries in 12 months the removal of my fibula to replace the bone in my arm due to the infection that killed off 8cm of bone i knew I was a long journey to recover....

Journey of Quokka Gaming part 3

After stepping away and running a courier franchise i step into being a joey scout leader with my youngest son.

Every Leader had to have a Australia Animal as there name so I choose Quokka.

During my time as a Joey and a Cub Scout leader I help alot of kids who were ASD in the movement and after 4 years of being a leader in had a parent told me I should get into Support work as I was great with ASD kids and helping them.

My passion on teaching and growing continue into my work as I became a Disability support Worker

The Journey of Quokka Gaming Part 2
After another game shop and lease was ending in hillside it made sense to move to sunbury as 90% of my clients where from sunbury and I was from there as well.

MTG was growing great we would have 3 pod drafts on friday night with D&D groups all fighting for the same space it was a magical space.

The competitive level of MTG was huge and everyone help each to grow there styles and we would travel all over Australia to play in major competitions.

Unfortunately a business deal went sour after 5 years running a successful TCG store i had to walk away

The Journey of Quokka Gaming part 1

Back in 2013 after my youngest was born i was ready to re enter the work force but still help out with home duties

A couple of friends open up a toy shop and they were struggling so I offer to help out if I could use some space to start up my dream to open up a card game shop. After a few months they deiced to close up so I moved to Hillside and open ip my own shop.

Running Xbox 360 with Halo and Minecraft and MTG every night everyone was having a blast

Pathfinder was more popular then D&D and we would have some fun session with the engine.
We had Board Games like Zomibcide running all the time and the community we build was a amazing feeling
