~ SEE YOU AROUND YOU MOB~

After ten years of dedicated service as Art Centre Manager, I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. Today is my last day.

It has been an honour and a privilege to work alongside artists, staff, board members, community members, partners and supporters of the Art Centre. Over the past decade, I have had the opportunity to witness the creativity, strength and cultural knowledge of the artists and community, and I am deeply grateful to have been part of that journey.

The past ten years have brought many opportunities, challenges, achievements and moments of growth. I am particularly thankful for the relationships that have been built along the way and for the trust placed in me to support the Art Centre, its artists and its ongoing development. I am proud of the work we have undertaken together to strengthen the organisation, create opportunities for artists, share culture and stories, and build a sustainable future for the Art Centre.

As I reflect on my time as Manager, I leave with a deep sense of appreciation for the people who have contributed to making the Art Centre what it is today. Thank you for the support, encouragement, friendship and shared commitment over the past ten years. It has been an incredibly meaningful chapter of my professional life, and I will always value the experiences, relationships and memories created during my time with the Art Centre.

During this time of transition we ask that you have flexibility and patience when contacting the art centre, as there will be times when there will be only one worker on.

I wish the organisation, its artists, staff and community every success for the future.

Stay creative you mob!!!

Roni Kerley

1 WEEK TO GO!
One week to go.
The countdown is almost over.

CELEBRATING 20 YEARS!!
Join us on Larrakia Country this August 6-9, where Yamaji art will once again be part of the annual Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair ( DAAF), Australiaโ€™s largest Indigenous Art Fair. This is an action packed week you wonโ€™t want to miss โ€“ celebrating strong Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, design and culture.

Weโ€™ll be joined by over 75 fellow First Nations Art Centres from right across the country, selling exclusive pieces that you wonโ€™t find anywhere else. Drop by for a yarn and meet the artists, hear the stories behind the work, get involved in a workshop, enjoy a cultural dance performance, look through some incredible artworks โ€“ and pick yourself up something special!

DAAF is grounded in community and culture, with First Nations Art Centres and ethical practice at the heart of the event. It remains FREE to attend from Friday to Sunday, with 100% of all art sales going directly back to the Art Centres, our artists and communities. See you there!
