We did it!
Last weekend We hit our first major milestone! More than 10,000 people have now shown up at events or gatherings at Blue Heelers Square.
That is 10,000 people coming into the West End that might not have previously.
10,000 people gathering, creating, supporting, participating, experimenting, launching ideas, sharing stories, listening to music, eating together, meeting people and helping shape what this place can become.
Blue Heelers Square has always been about creating a blank canvas for Geraldton.
A place where people can try things.
A place where ideas can find a home.
A place where community can create uniquely Geraldton experiences together.
We have been genuinely blown away by how people have stepped into that opportunity.
From small experiments to packed events, from local launches to live music, from first-time ideas to community celebrations, this square is becoming what we always hoped it could be.
Thank you to every person, artist, business, organiser, volunteer, partner and curious passer-by who has helped bring life into this space that was abandoned for 23 years.
Big thanks to our major partners in particular the property developers Margland who have gone above and beyond to invest in the future of the West End.
10,000 people have shown up and it feels like we are only just beginning.
