** ARTSHOW'26 OVERVIEW**

The new organising committee would like to publicly acknowledge the high standards set by previous committees ably led by Trish Tinkler. For the ArtShow'26, Trish has stepped aside to give more of her time to other community projects.

Note the dates for 2026 when the Art Show will be in the first half of the year. These dates - 28 March to 12 April - straddle Easter.

The venue will be once again be upstairs at the Geeveston Town Hall.

Also note that there will be NO theme for ArtShow'26.

The following prize categories have been confirmed by the committee:
Best In Show,
Works On Canvas Or Board,
Works On Paper,
3D Award,
Textile Award,
Ceramic Award,
People’s Choice Award,
Roy Leeman Award

The committee will be approaching sponsors in the coming weeks, and the outcome will determine the award amounts.

Massive prize pool available. Let’s show them what Tassie can do!

As part of the celebrations of our 60th anniversary, we are excited to announce our official call for entries for our inaugural Eckersley’s Art & Craft Prize.

With a total prize pool of $25,000, entries will be judged by a panel of esteemed guest judges with extensive knowledge and experience across the art industry.

Additionally, there will be a prestigious group exhibition for the finalists and winners at Hazelhurst Arts Centre, Sydney, in Spring 2025.

We’re looking forward to showcasing incredible contemporary art from across Australia!

A big thank you to Meg Brown MP and Dean Winter MP for their contribution to the Geeveston Art Show! It's Meg's first time as a sponsor, and Dean's 2nd, and we're so grateful to have them on the sponsorship team.

Meg and Dean are both regulars down in the Huon and especially to Geeveston where they actively meet with locals. Meg recently had a BBQ in Geeveston and runs a monthly (free) grocery raffle. You can grab tickets from Geeveston Community Centre Inc !

Sponsorship comes in so many forms, whether it's cash for prizes, donation of product, photocopying, meeting space and sometimes good old word of mouth. If it's something you'd like to help with then the Geeveston Art Show would love to speak with you!!

The Geeveston Art Show runs from Saturday the 29th of March to Saturday the 5th of April 2025. throughout the Geeveston Town Centre, 10am - 4pm. We're headquartered at Masaaki`s Sushi, Geeveston .
