Following two sold-out Morning Showtimes with Hail Hail Rock & Roll and Conquest & Rebellion, Drop Of A Hat's next Morning Showtime at The Potato Shed is 'Just Brill'- The music that came from New Yorks' Brill Building. That 11-story office building close to New York's Broadway was the base for songwriters and producers for three decades, churning out hits like Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head, Sweet Caroline, Save The Last Dance For Me, Oh Carol, Do Wah Diddy Diddy and many, many more. Now their story is told, and it's fascinating. Just Brill is researched, written by Colin Mockett with Adam Parsons and Reyna Hudgell providing the live music. 10.30am Tuesday June 6 at The Potato Shed, tickets $17 book at tickets.geelongaustralia.com.au

We’re presenting what has to be every Baby Boomer’s best-ever singalong show. It’s called Hail Hail Rock & Roll and it’s a live on-stage biography of the wonderful Chuck Berry. Chuck’s music is literally immortal - his Johnny B Goode was included on NASA’s Voyager spacecraft when it reached out to find new life forms at the edge of the Universe in 1997. We’ll be starting with that song and moving on to a host of others from the master when we tell his ultra-colourful story. So prepare to Roll Over Beethoven there’s a Brown Eyed Handsome Man on the way who is extremely fond of his Ding-A-Ling! Researched written and narrated by Colin Mockett, with images on the cinema-sized screen, Chuck’s music is played by the brilliant All Shook Up! Geelong rock group. Hail Hail Rock & Roll is at the Potato Shed, Drysdale, 10.30am March 7, all tickets are $17 and they’re selling very fast. book online at tickets.geelongaustralia.com.au

We are delighted to say that Morning Showtimes will return to The Potato Shed in 2021. Covid-19 restrictions will apply, with audience numbers restricted to a maximum 88 and a new Marquee erected to increase foyer space and enable social distancing. Drop Of A Hat Productions will be producing six of the nine shows, with an exciting mix of brand new shows with some that were postponed from 2020. We're planning to begin in April with Elvis! - The Elvis Presley Story, while May will have All You Need Is The Beatles. June would have Strength And Grace - the women who helped shape Geelong, and July we have a brand new musical titled If I Had A Hammer - the IWW songs of Woodie Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Joe Hill and more... August is the chance to meet MORE Geelong ancestors telling their stories and September brings back our highly popular History of Rock & Roll. All shows begin 10.30am Tuesdays, tickets are $17 with discounts for booking multiple shows or for groups. Watch for the city's announcement when they go on sale, through the CoGG website or by phone at the venue. And with the capped capacity, early booking is highly recommended.
