Geelong Racing Club Victoria's biggest regional racecourse, hosting 26 race days including the Ladbrokes Geelong Cup and Super Saturday on the Coast

Geelong Racecourse is one of the most important regional racecourses in Victoria, holding more than 25 meetings each year. While the current track was opened in 1908, there have been horse races in Geelong dating back into the 1840s. The most important race at Geelong Racecourse is the 2400 metre Group 3 Geelong Cup. This race draws many of Australia’s and some of the world’s best horses, who are

all looking to earn themselves a spot in the Melbourne Cup field. Among those to have completed the Geelong/Melbourne Cup double, include Irish stayer Media Puzzle (2002), French horse Americain (2010), and fellow French stayer Dunaden completed the Geelong/Melbourne Cups double in 2011. The Geelong Racing Club is also available for non-race day events, with some wonderful facilities to choose from. The Club is only a short distance from the City and with plenty of FREE parking available.

INSIDE THE MARQUEES 🏇 | THE PROMENADE

This might just be the best seat in the house.

Welcome to The Promenade - your own private outdoor trackside bay, right on the home straight with uninterrupted views of the racing and winning post.

Gather a group of 10–20 and make the space your own for the day. You’ll have tables, chairs and umbrellas, plus a dedicated bar and beverage package included so when the drinks are flowing, there’s no missing a race to line up at the bar.

Food is completely up to you. BYO your own spread, or wander over to the nearby Furphy Lawn and grab something from the food trucks.

And when you want to stretch the legs between races, you’re close to the bookies, tote, live entertainment and all the activations on the Furphy Lawn

It’s relaxed. It’s social. And when they turn down the home straight, you’re right there.

The Promenade is for you if: you’ve got a crew of 10–20, want your own space and care more about a brilliant trackside position than the traditional marquee experience.

For the punters who want to be right amongst it.

The Ladbrokes.com.au Mounting Yard Bar puts you in the heart of Cup Day action. Close to the horses, close to the racing and with your own private indoor & outdoor area.

Gather the crew, grab a drink and settle in for the day with finger food and beverages flowing throughout.

Then there’s the racing.

Get the form guide out, talk tips with your mates and hear from racing royalty as a special guest joins us to share their insights, stories and selections for the day.

Between races, you’re only steps from the Pre-Parade Ring and Mounting Yard, giving you the chance to get a good look at the runners before they head out onto the track.

This is a cocktail style room, with tables and chairs throughout. No missing the action. Just good mates, cold drinks and a cracking day at the races.

You’re also close to The Precinct to keep Cup Day going at the John Course Afterparty.
