You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown was originally staged in 1967 with music and lyrics by Clark Gesner and later in 1999 with revisions by Andrew Lippa. Schulz in his comic strip Peanuts - a syndicated daily and Sunday U.S. comic strip originally running from 1950 to 2000, continuing in reruns. Peanuts is among the most popular and influential in the history of comic strips and is "arguably the long

est story ever told by one human being". Peanuts ran in over 2,600 newspapers, with a readership of around 355 million in 75 countries, and was translated into 21 languages. Peanuts focuses on a social circle of young children, where adults exist but are rarely seen or heard. The main character, Charlie Brown, is meek, nervous, and lacks self-confidence. He is unable to fly a kite, win a baseball game, or kick a football held by his irascible friend Lucy, who always pulls it away at the last instant! You're A Good Man Charlie Brown is a whimsical and inspiring family musical, innovative in its humor and driven by the characters' interactions and relationships with each other that make this a show for everyone. The award-winning team for this production is well known to Geelong audiences and theatre goers. Directing the production will be Green Room Nominated and Guild Award Winning Director, Paul Watson (We Will Rock You, Wicked, Tick Tick Boom, Jersey Boys, Once) and Choreography will handled by Guild Award Winning and Green Room nominated Choreographer, Venessa Paech (Wedding Singer, Rent, We Will Rock You, The Boy From Oz, How To Succeed In Business, Chicago). Performance Dates for this production will be limited to 1 (one) week only - from the 11th to the 13th of January 2024 - including matinee and even a morning performance to accommodate family friendly theatre options during the holiday season across all of Geelong, The Bellarine Peninsula, Surf Coast and even day trips for our regional and city friends. Early bird ticket purchasing information will be available in July. "Happiness is morning and evening and daytime and nighttime too. For happiness is anyone and anything at all that's loved by you."

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our production of You're a Good Man Charlie Brown - Geelong.

We are so thankful for the audiences we witnessed laugh and cheer and even cry a little and we are so incredibly appreciative of the energy and interactions our audience contributed to the performances.

We have a little dream that we can bring more world class musical theatre to Geelong and provide paid work to some of the phenomenal talent we have living in the region. We spend so much time performing in Melbourne and Sydney and all around the country, and as audiences we travel to Melbourne to see professional theatre… so…. why not here? But it’s going to take time, it’s going to take resources and energy and, most importantly, it’s absolutely going to take support from YOU!!!

So we wanna say thank you AND we’d love to know what you thought of the show!!!!! Hit us up in the comments section?!!!! It wasn’t bad for a debut hey!!!!!?

We had the most incredible day bumping into the theatre. So incredible that we wanted to share a sneaky peek of what’s being created in the Story House at Geelong Arts Centre. We started fooling around at the end of the day and getting some lighting cues into the desk!!!! We are in love with our little Peanuts world!!!! What do you think so far!!!!??? Massive thanks to our entire team and the team at GAC for a stellar day! We appreciate it so much.
