This is a piece that will go into an exhibition later this year. this is a little cutie whose mum is a fellow artist, helped me out with a quick photo shoot for this reference image.

First step: trace the image.
Then edit, then start carving.

I always start with something I know is going to be white. If I spend too long working out the shading and patterns then I will never get started.

You’ll see in these images that more pen lines appear as I go.

Now I’m at the stage where I want to look at the dress, the original image has tiny flowers.. but I’m not sure that’s what I want. I am leaning towards strips.

This is coming together sooo slowly!!

So exciting to be in a new gallery space. This is .galleryspace in Windsor. A fellow Melbourne street art collective member had his work in the exhibition too!!
Now, this exhibition is only open for 2 weeks so go check it out and… just buy your self some sunshine/art.

I love the idea of this group exhibition
‘From the studio’ if you walk into my studio there is always a few different things happening. I love Lino, I’ve also played with collage and resin, and painting abstracts. So it’s nice to see them in a group exhibition full of really diverse pieces.
