This exhibition showcases the diverse talents within our Society and highlights the inspiring work produced through classes, workshops, and shared artistic practice.

Artists wishing to exhibit are reminded that all artworks must be delivered by 28 June.

Need a school holiday activity for your child that is creative, engaging and screen-free?

Our School Holiday Workshop is the perfect opportunity for your 8-14 year old to unleash their imagination, learn new skills and have fun creating their own hand sewn creation.

It was wonderful to see so many people come together for the opening of our latest exhibition and celebrate the creativity of our artists. If you get the chance, pop down to the Shearers Arms Gallery to see the incredible selection of artworks in person.

Here is what our judge has to say about our placing artists:

1st prize. Francine Ogle - Blue Haze over the You Yangs - Oil. This delightful painterly work shows skill in brushstroke, atmospheric depiction and a strong composition. I look at that scene every day and when I immerse myself in this small painting I am looking at the feeling I get each time.

2nd prize. Pip Williams. Lino cut. A Room with 2 Views (1) When approaching this work one cannot look away. Being drawn into the image with the view out to the water and beyond to the clouds. The off kilter composition makes the work more compelling. There is a sense of being on a covered jetty with the movement of the water beneath.

Highly Commended:
1. Lynette Palmer. Japanese Market. Watercolour. This small work depicts a marketplace with all the bits and bobs one would find. In a small space Lynette has created a sense of place engaging the viewer in the busyness of the marketplace.
2. Ray Storey. Farrier. Watercolour. By portraying a huge subject into a tiny work shows a skill for detail. The eye hones in on the small window and manages to engage the viewer with all aspects of the Farrier’s trade. The size of the work contributes to the stillness required to contemplate the scene.
