Thank you to everyone who made our Barossa Photography Retreat such a very special one.

What a beautiful weekend filled with photography, laughter, adventure, creativity, good food, beautiful places and, most importantly, wonderful people.

I’m so grateful for every person who joined us and for the energy, friendship and joy you brought to the weekend. These are the memories that make our photography adventures so special. 🥰

Thank you for trusting me to create these experiences with you. Until our next adventure… keep seeing, keep creating and keep capturing the beauty around you. 📷✨

Our final day exploring the Barossa was the perfect way to finish an incredible photography retreat📸🍷

We started the morning with a beautiful walk through Bethany, taking in spectacular views across the valley.

Then it was time to put our photography skills to the test at the SALA exhibition. So much creativity, inspiration and different ways of seeing and perhaps a little motivation to start planning our participation next year.

From there, we swapped cameras for wine and croquet at Chateau Tanunda. 🍷🏏 What started as a friendly game quickly became VERY competitive! Lots of laughs, excitement, questionable strategies and some serious determination.

And what better way to bring our retreat to a close than with a beautiful lunch at 1918, delicious food, wonderful company and plenty of stories to share from the weekend.

Another retreat filled with beautiful places, creative inspiration, laughter, friendship and memories that will stay with us long after we pack away the cameras.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this Barossa adventure so special. ❤️

Until the next adventure… keep seeing, keep creating and keep enjoying the moment. 📸✨

There’s something so special about our group photos. 📸✨

Every time we head out to explore a new location, we enjoy creating fun group photos.

We explore, we laugh, we organise, we get distracted, we reshoot … and most importantly, we go with the moment and have fun together.

So grateful for these wonderful people, the adventures we share and all the moments in between. 🥰

Barossa Photography Retreat 📸🍷

What a beautiful way to begin our Barossa adventure… a little fog, soft morning light and plenty of moments to slow down and simply see.

From the peaceful beauty of Gully Gardens Barossa enjoying beautiful scones & coffee, to exploring the history of the Angaston Blacksmith Shop, and enjoying a visit to Maggie Beer, the day unfolded at the perfect pace.

We wandered through the historic beauty of Seppeltsfield, cameras in hand, finding little details, textures, stories and moments around every corner.

And then, as the sun disappeared, we ended the day exactly how a retreat should end… 🔥🍕🥂a bonfire, pizza, drinks, laughter, good conversations and that feeling of being completely present with a wonderful group of people.

Sometimes photography is about more than the photographs we take.

It’s about slowing down, disconnecting from the noise, noticing the beauty around us and reconnecting with ourselves and each other.

Photography is not just about capturing what we see. It is a reason to slow down, to disconnect from the noise, and to reconnect with ourselves.

Here in the Barossa, we will give ourselves permission to pause, to notice the light, the landscape, the little moments, and the beauty that is so easily missed when life moves too fast.

Sometimes, the most beautiful photograph is simply the moment when we stop rushing and start seeing again 📷

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Peter Squires. We had the privilege of meeting Peter during one of our Inspire Me Photography retreats at Old Tailem Town, and his passion for preserving South Australia’s history was truly inspiring.

Thank you, Peter, for the incredible legacy you’ve left behind. Our heartfelt condolences to your family and the Old Tailem Town community. Rest peacefully. ❤️

VALE Peter Squires 8/11/1938-2/8/2026.
The sun shone today and another soul was taken.
Peter lived his life to preserve South Australian history and showcase times gone by. His village stands as a testament to him and his legacy continues on with his family.
May you rest now that your work has been done and lives on for future generations.

How often do we walk past beautiful moments without really seeing them?

Photography isn’t only about epic landscapes, perfect sunsets or travelling to incredible places.

It’s about learning to notice.

The morning light dancing across your kitchen table. A favourite mug. The shadows on the wall. A pair of glasses left on a book. Fresh flowers a quiet corner of your home.

The extraordinary is often hidden inside the ordinary.

Your camera doesn’t just capture what you see, it teaches you how to see.

Today, slow down.
Look a little closer.
Find one beautiful moment that most people would walk past.

Then photograph it 📸
We would love to see what you discover. Share your favourite everyday moment in the comments.
