You may remember we featured a business with an AMAZING Batman themed mural a while back. Well the office is coming along and might even be open for a viewing soon! Whale Tale has put everything into this and the owner at Delco Constructions couldn't be happier!

ARTISTS TAKE NOTE!

Gawler Street Art and PACE Festival and artwalk are excited to be collaborating on the mural project funded by our state Labor Party with particular thanks to our seat of Light member James Agness. Open expressions of interest from South Australian mural and street artists will soon be able to access our selection criteria which we are in the process of finalising. We expect to have this completed within the week. If anyone is interested in receiving the criteria you can email [email protected] with your contact details and as soon as we complete the criteria I will ensure to forward it to all artists who have contacted me.
I can tell you our expected completion date will be in early October. If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to contact the above address. Looking forward to receiving your expression of interest. Director PACE Festival.

THINGS ARE HAPPENING!

Before the election, I committed to establishing a “Murals Fund for Gawler” to transform blank canvasses in the town into public art installations.

With the Gawler Street Art Community and PACE we’ve been able to lock in a site - the blank white wall on the Subway Building at the corner of Walker Place and Murray Street.

Over the coming months this wall - subject to a couple of caveats - will undergo a face lift, becoming the Town’s newest mural adding to the rich tapestry of street art our community is already able to enjoy.

Stay tuned as artists are chosen, and new sites explored, as together with the Gawler Street Art Community and PACE Festival we deliver this election commitment !
