TANNIN & COTTON NATURAL DYE WORKSHOP - Tickets available now!

Day/Time:
SATURDAY 30/05/2026 – 10 to 2:00pm

Wrap yourself in warmth and creativity this winter. Step into the inviting atmosphere of the Fremantle Fibonacci Centre, where steaming tannin-rich dye pots and a soul-warming drink by Hinata Cafe await.

In this intimate, hands-on workshop, you’ll receive a beautifully crafted hand-spun, hand-woven cotton scarf from The Anjelms Project and an expert guidance in mordanting and natural dyeing with Annette Wiguna. Choose from three rich earthy dye extracts: myrobalan, cutch, and pomegranate.

While your scarf simmers the pot, local spinner and cotton grower Jean Anning will share the journey of cotton, from seed to thread. We will finish by exploring optional colour modifiers to deepen or warm the shade of your scarf.

This workshop is perfect for beginners and anyone drawn to the alluring beauty of plant-based colour.

Limited places available - bookings essential through our website.

We are excited to be hosting Michelle Maunder as a Guest Collaborator on our Weekly timetable foe the month of may - Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday mornings 7am-8am. You can book & pay via this link https://events.humanitix.com/early-morning-yin-yoga-s25sctlw
"My journey into Yoga started after heart surgery when I was looking for a soft, restorative style type of exercise to rebuild my health & wellness. Unfortunately, there was nothing around at the time. Fast forward 20 years; I heard about Yin yoga long before it was a "thing" in Australia. So I travelled to Canada and trained under Paul Grilley's assistant. The rest, they say...is history! Yin is my thing! Restorative is my thing!! I have never looked back!! Love to share it with anyone. Love to guide and see how much people dive in and take their self-care to the sky. Come and join me. All Welcome."
