🏖️Leighton Beach🏖️ is a popular beach for people living south of the river.

It is the home of the Fremantle Surf Life Saving Club and covers a 1.5 km stretch of coastline.
⠀
Waves average about 1 m and occasional rips continue up to the rocks at Mosmans. There are beach breaks along here during higher swell.
⠀
During the winter months Leighton and the surrounding area is popular among kite surfers. The northern section is home to a dog beach and is a popular section to snorkel during summer.
