📣 EAST FREMANTLE TRAFFIC IMPACTS – THIS WEEKEND 🚧
A friendly reminder that Canning Highway between Preston Point Road and Queen Victoria Street will be closed this weekend to all traffic:
🕘 From: 9pm Friday 23 January
🕕 To: 6am Tuesday 27 January (inclusive)
🚧 Detour information
Please note the following detours will be in place:
• Westbound Canning Highway traffic entering Fremantle: use Moss Street and Marmion Street
• Eastbound Canning Highway traffic leaving Fremantle: use Fremantle Traffic Bridge, Stirling Bridge and Marmion Street
• Southbound Stirling Highway traffic heading eastbound: use Marmion Street
• Northbound Stirling Highway traffic heading westbound: use Tydeman Road and Fremantle Traffic Bridge
• Access to homes and businesses on Canning Highway will be maintained
⏱️ Significant delays are expected, so road users are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and consider alternative routes.
🚦 Signed detours will be in place — please follow all traffic management for everyone’s safety.
🔄 Changes from Tuesday 27 January
From Tuesday 27 January, the Canning Highway and Stirling Highway intersection will operate under a new configuration, prioritising Stirling Highway traffic to help keep the road network moving during the bridge closure.
