It’s a little hard to believe, isn’t it, that thieves would clumsily break into Victoria Hall, central Freo, and steal items important to the present and future operations of Freo’s beloved Fremantle Theatre Company. Unfortunately, everything about this theft tells you it was not at all clumsy...

‘The future is already here, it’s just not evenly distributed.’ - William Gibson, THE NEUROMANCER.

Can any one quote better meet the truth of our times?

- The Supermarket Wrought Scandal
- The Rental Market
- The National Disability Insurance Scheme
- The National Policy Supporting Apartheid

It’s not a cost-of-living Crisis, it’s a world caught in the midst of an empirical cataclysm, and the people are paying the price.

But we knew this in 1984 when Gibson published ‘The Neuromancer’. And we knew it was coming in 1949 when Orwell released ‘Nineteen Eighty-Four’.

The question: “What will we do with all that we now know?”

It's a wrap on a very successful season of The Va**na Monologues produced by the the wonderful Sarah McNeil from Lit Live. Thankyou Sarah, Ali Van Reeken and Mikayla Merks for an entertaining, laughter-filled and dare I say, educational show. The audience loved it. Lots of great conversations afterwards.

Thank you Damon and The Dorchestra for a wonderful morning of music.
