Unfortunately and very sadly I have to let you all know I’ve just heard from the head of community programs at the library and they are canceling any community programs today because of the catastrophic weather warning that’s in place.
Hope you all stay safe.
(You’ve been saved from the glitter 😆✨)

Tomorrow afternoon is our last session for the year. We will be making some sparkly Christmas decorations and there will be a surprise for each of you ✨✨✨

Howdy creative people 😁🐛🦋

Art Club is back at the library this Friday 😃 Yay! Yes you can cheer, we certainly did. Our home for our creative cocoon will remain at the library for the foreseeable future. Thank you Light regional council for your continued support. 💚

This session is going to be about exploring the world of collage. 🥰. We will play with paper, fibres and stickers to create individual masterpieces; it a free expression space, so anything goes.
The following session we will have a focus on scrapbooking and include photos in a layout about how amazing each of you are. You can turn your collage into your photo layout if that appeals. 😉
Feel free to bring along any materials you have lying around that you might want to add to your work, and please remember to bring your art kits with you; you’ll definitely need your scissors and glue stick.

Planning note - Our last session for the year will be on the 8th of December and will be Christmas themed. We will finish the year with a festive celebration before we head off to enjoy the street party. Only 3 sessions to go. 💚❤️

Art out and about today …
At ‘The Arts Centre’ - Port Noarlunga.
A delightful and inspiring exhibition of self portraits by kindergarteners, plus some of the gorgeous offerings in the art shop 😍. So much talent on display 🥰. Absolutely worth a trip down south to visit. 💚

Free Choice Art Day.

As there is a teachers strike on Friday we are making art club a free choice session - you can make whatever is in you to make and you can do that where ever you choose to make it. Be creative!
Personally we are going to take our creative energies on the go and grab the opportunity to head to the beach, collect some shells and rocks and driftwood for collage and take some pictures. (That’s the plan anyway).
The library space is still booked and open - so if you want to take your art kit down and make there please feel free. You could draw something. You can make more kindness posters. You can have a look through the library shelves for inspiration - we never get time to do that, and there are some fantastic books on all sorts of great creative things.
We would love to see what you make. Please bring it in next session or post a picture here. 🥰💚
