Extremely excited to be a finalist in the 2026 Fisher’s Ghost Award!

A huge thank you to the selection panel, I’m thrilled to be included in such an amazing lineup of artists. Looking forward to October!

WHAT WE KEEP INSIDE
Fifteen paper machè and acrylic painted bowls

What We Keep Inside is a collection of hand-formed papier-mâché bowls that explore mothering, the longing to be mothered, and the experiences we often carry quietly within us. Inspired by the artist’s own experience of growing up with a mother affected by mental illness, the work reflects on care, vulnerability and connection.

Built slowly in layers, each bowl balances fragility and strength. Hung on the wall with their interiors exposed, they invite a sense of openness and honesty, revealing what is usually kept hidden. Soft in colour and tactile in nature, the bowls create a calm and contemplative presence, offering a gentle reminder of our shared need for care, comfort and belonging.

Just over a week to go until our Open Studio!

The gallery walls will be filled with Works from Memory — a collection of older works that have been quietly waiting in the studio alongside new pieces I’ve been having fun creating over the past few months.

It’s also a chance to see what all of the resident artists have been working on, wander through the studios, have a chat, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon together.

Saturday 15 August
11am–4pm
Afternoon tea from 2–4pm

I’d love to see you there.

A deadline really works for me!

A few new works, a few older favourites, and a much needed studio tidy are all happening before the doors open for Works from Memory on Saturday 15 August, 11-4pm

Looking forward to filling the walls and welcoming you into the studio soon.

Been in a bit of a creative funk lately, I find that happens after an exhibition so I’ve been trying to just enjoy the time without upcoming commitments but on the other hand I do like having something to work towards, hmm, finding that balance, so of course I have a few different things on the go!
Anyway, today was a good day in the studio playing with paint, cardboard, colour on little canvas, and that little orange square, makes me smile. 😊

Slowly adding more….

Only a few more weeks and it’s been 30 years of Motherhood, of course it’s got me thinking and creating.

Stitching, building, painting.

Love colour and tone.

Cold nights are being spent continuing these little hearts, slowly growing this collection that I started after my mother passed away in January.
