It is with utmost pride that we say THAT’S A WRAP on our 2025 production of Chicago. After the cancellation of the show in 2020, we are truly grateful have been able to stage this show in honour of our first cast and with the sheer magic of our second.

We thank our incredible audiences for bringing an electric energy for our cast (3 completely sold out shows!!) and every person who contributed to putting this show together. From our school staff and administration, to our parents and hirers, to our production team and cast, our production community is generous and vast.

We have loved bringing you into the world of ‘Chicago’ and hope that you were utterly dazzled by the talents of our brilliant cast. Until the next one, that’s showbiz, kid! 🎭🎥

Cate has been doing theatre since she was 5, from performing a monologue about the big bad wolf to playing a multitude of lead characters in different productions. In 2020 the show Chicago was announced, and she was a part of the chorus watching all the leads play these roles, she realised she wanted to be like that. When watching All that Jazz in rehearsals she dreamed she could be Velma, captivating the audience through such an iconic song. Now she has achieved her 13-year-old self's goal and cannot wait for you to watch this incredible production!!

Ruby grew up fascinated by all things jazz, attending tribute concerts and listening to jazz music whenever she got the chance. With her love for jazz, she is immensely grateful to be playing Velma Kelly alongside her incredible double, Cate. Ruby is currently in Year 10 but still remembers sitting in the audience of previous FHS productions, watching the performers in such great admiration. Now, she is incredibly thankful to be performing alongside her role models, filled with gratitude to call them her friends. Ruby began her musical theatre journey playing Katie in FHS’s School of Rock in 2022, and has since performed in musicals with Broadway Academy, and PLOS musical productions. She is vocally trained at Voicebox Singing Studios and is a part of FHS’s Vocal Ensemble. Ruby has loved every minute of Chicago rehearsals and hopes you enjoy the show as much as she does!

Our first jazz slayer's name is on everyone's lips.. it's ROXIE HART played by Sophie Mckee and Madison Bishop!! Sophie is in year 11 at FHS, and has been a part of the production family since year 7. In past shows, Sophie has had the pleasure of playing Marty in Grease, and Marcy in School of Rock. Outside of school, she has been performing with Broadway Academy since 2018, playing roles such as Fiona in Shrek, Katherine in Newsies, and most recently, Baker’s Wife in Into The Woods. She also trains at Voicebox Singing Studios. Sophie is thrilled to be playing Roxie, a dream role, in Frankston High School’s production of Chicago. She hopes you are razzle dazzled by the show!

Madison Bishop started singing from a very early age, forming a true love for musical theatre soon after. Beginning at Frankston High School in 2023 she joined the production family as Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family, and last year was given the wonderful role of Jan in Grease. Madison has been a part of many performances and shows including, The Little Mermaid Jr (Windmill Theatre Company), PLOS Celebration – A Tribute to Musical Theatre, Mary in Mary Poppins Jr (Broadway Academy) and is currently playing the role of Bakers Wife in Into the Woods Jr (Broadway Academy). She participated in JTF as Mary Poppins, as well as participating in JTC and the Pilot Program. She is currently working towards completing her musical theatre exams, as well as attending vocal coaching at Voicebox singing studios. She is extremely excited to be playing Roxie Hart and cannot wait to join this amazing cast to bring this incredible show to life!

Dylan is thrilled to have been cast as Billy Flynn in his final Frankston High School production of Chicago. Dylan’s history in theatre includes performing as Lord Farquaad in AYPT’s Shrek The Musical Jr., Morris Delancey in Newsies Jr., Nigel in FHS’ 2021 production of Matilda, Zack in FHS’ School of Rock, Lucas in FHS’ Addams Family, Danny in FHS’ Grease and other ensembles. Dylan would like to thank the VoiceBox and FHS’ production team for where he is now. He hopes that you all will enjoy the show as much as he enjoys performing.

Lucas Gilbert, playing the role of Mr Billy Flynn, the sliver tongued prince of the courtroom, is excited to be taking on the role he’s been dreaming for so long. Lucas has always wanted to play Billy Flynn, and now you all have the chance to watch it happen live! Lucas has a background in both singing and dancing as he’s been in bands’ outside of school and is a dancer. He’s always enjoyed singing and dancing. Lucas has loved being able to get involved with Frankston High School’s incredible production family for the second year in a row. Chicago marks Pepper’s fifth and final production at FHS, and she is thrilled to be playing the role of Matron Mama Morton! Her love for performing began at Joanne O’Kelly School of Dance, where she first caught the theatre bug. Since then, she has continued to develop her skills through groups such as YABC, the Australian Girls Choir, and Revolution the Movement and spends her time training at Voicebox Singing Studios!! Pepper is incredibly proud of the hard work this cast has put into the show and hopes you enjoy it as much as she does!

Michaela is an avid performer and has partaken in every school production since Year 7, where she played the titular role in Matilda. Since then, she has performed on the FHS stage as Summer in School of Rock, Wednesday in The Addams Family, and Sandy in Grease. Outside of school, Michaela is lucky enough to have performed in the Australian pilot performances of Mean Girls JR, How to Train Your Dragon JR and The Prince of Egypt JR. Michaela has also performed with local theatres in various shows such as 13 (Patrice), Frozen JR (Anna), and the Australian premiere of Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Patty Farrell). Michaela is incredibly grateful for everyone involved in Chicago and is eager to bring the show to life.

Toby Smith was part of the 2020 Grease cast, as Roger in the Tbirds and is excited to end his high school experience with how it (almost) started! Toby also loves being a part of the VCE drama class of 2025, where he gets the chance to refine his performance skills. He hopes audiences all enjoy this iconic show, FHS’ “second” edition of Chicago the musical!

Keenan Lawson is a Year 12 student in his final year of high school and is excited to make his stage debut in Chicago playing the role of Amos. Keenan is proud to be part of such an iconic production for his first-ever Frankston Highschool show. Being involved in this musical has been a rewarding experience, and he’s enjoyed working alongside such a talented cast and crew. Charlotte has been dancing since the age of four and has always had a deep love for theatre. Her passion for performing has led her to take on a range of roles with Broadway Academy, including Katherine in Newsies Jr, Bert in Mary Poppins Jr, and both Rapunzel’s Prince and the Wolf in Into the Woods Jr. At FHS, she performed as Teen Angel and a lead vocalist in Grease, was part of the ensemble in School of Rock, and played a lead Ancestor in The Addams Family. She also performed with the Young Australian Broadway Chorus (YABC) for 4 years. Charlotte is excited to portray the sympathetic and charismatic Mary Sunshine in FHS’s production of Chicago this year and looks forward to continuing her growth as a performer.

Jade is delighted to be playing Mary Sunshine in this year's razzle-dazzling production, Chicago! After having the opportunity to perform in The Addams Family, her love of theatre has only grown stronger, and she can't wait to return to the stage with another exciting role. When not singing or acting, she can be found in Debate Club, Peer Support, SLC, or crocheting. She's had an incredible time bringing Chicago to life and hopes you enjoy the show just as much as she's loved being a part of it.
