LAST TRAIN FROM BOREE
In 2020 I completed this memorial to the late former Deputy PM Tim Fischer at Boree creek-( his home town). He was a ' one of a kind' sorta guy. Beloved and respected (despite his views on gun controls) by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. He was kind enough to organize a special exhibition of my 'Rain Dragon' sculpture at Sydney Central Railway Station. A great and just man. Sadly missed.

FULL SPEED AHEAD
Today we visited Ardlethan for their market day. I am very fortunate to have 3 public artworks in this great town. It was awesome to have a good yarn with a few of the locals. This image is my sculpture of Ardlethan legend ,Frank Bradley who won the famous Stawell Gift running race. 1934 I think .The prize money and return from bets made on the race enabled Frank to buy a farm. !!!! At the time this was the only human race that you could legally place a bet on due to severe handicaps and rules that said that runners could only improve their previous trial race times by a small margin. He had thighs like tree trunks- I’ve seen the photos.

Art creates Art
Today at a pre Mothers Day morning tea I was shown this image of my water tower spider at Urana by Carmel Anderson. After a quick glance I thought it was a cross stitch but was advised it was “Diamond Art” . This is new to me but am told the detail was done with tiny glass gems in a variety of colours. You send the company a photo and they send you a bag of ‘diamonds ‘ and a coded image to guide you. How clever!!!

“Jessie Bloody Rotten Dog “ (kelpie border collie cross) and “Biscuit” AKA bikkie. Refuse to give ground and give me seating rights next to good wife Daphne. Both dogs are 14 plus years old so gotta cut them some slack.

THAT TIME OF YEAR
About 45 years ago I won an award of "Soldier of the Year" I was blessed to have my nephew Danny sit next to me for this shot. I am proud to say he also "joined up" and had a an "interesting career" including tours of Timor , Afganistan and Iraq. My son Kristian also served in Timor and Iraq and other conflicts , nephew Andrew served in similar operations in those conflicts. THANK YOU GUYS , I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!

Just finished installing a 5 ton hoist. This should stop me crawling on the ground cursing drain plugs and oil spills during servicing with a bad back . Am Very jealous of the clever folks who do this type of work easily. Im scared of heights and after a previous, serious ladder fall (10 years ago) opted for an Elevated Work Platform with 6 m reach. Saved my butt BIG TIME. My best buddy: kelpie /Border Collie dog (Jessie Bloody rotten Dog) seems too engrossed in her "squeaky bone chew toy " to appreciate my latest achievement. LOL.

A FRIENDLY HELLO.
Fellow scrapmetal artist Milynda Rogers of Scrapmetalsheila fame sent me this image of my Muttaburra Shearer. Milynda was once a sculpture student of mine . She has singlehandedly created one of the largest sculpture trails on Earth (hundreds of Kilometers of unique outback high quality artworks) What an inspiration!
