Two Fat Ewes

Sheep country. This morning it was up at sparrows f.. and watching on as Shane the shearer got to work shearing Janine’s gorgeous English Leister x Corri (merino x etc etc). This afternoons job is to help skirt and snaffle the fleeces to bring home. Yesterday we did a bit of a Cliffy running around the paddocks trying to round them up- talk about putting a round peg into a square hole 😝. We got there and they were thankfully still in the pen this morning waiting patiently to be relieved of their beautifully clean and fluffy ‘do’s’. When you can sit on a verandah in beautiful country yet still work…… why wouldn’t you? Building up my thicker ply sock stock too. See you this coming weekend in Timboon, SW Vic on Sunday 11th 10-2pm.

Looking back on photos of the past weeks I realise how much we have packed in without a frantic rush. Today is fly home day…. The Bath bun in the oldest house, an ancient plane tree (1700s), Roland blending with the 1800s decor in their accom, reflecting on new skills, marvellous mug shots…. and Oxford… all of it!!! that have made an extraordinary adventure..

Sunday September 13th 10-3pm at the Framlingham Hall we have a Makers Market, Sausage sizzle, car boot sale and coffee van. TwoFatEwes will be there- a wee bit jet lagged but will have my circular sock machine, hopefully a flax distaff where ill@demonstrate spinning flax into linen thread, weaving where you can try for yourself and whatever I can rustle up Will be a good event on a lazy Sunday
