🐣 Hatchling Fun Fact!

A newly hatched chick is called a hatchling for its first few days of life. They're born with a special "egg tooth" — a tiny temporary spike on their beak — used to crack open the shell. It falls off naturally within a few days! 🦷

That's just one of the incredible things kids get to learn through the Hatching Chicks Program — a hands-on, curriculum-connected experience operating across NSW & ACT since 2001! 🎉
