We believe dance has the power to breakdown social barriers and create meaningful connections for children and young people experiencing financial or social challenges. Dance Builds Healthier Futures.

At L2R, we believe dance means movement, connection, confidence, creativity and community. Through workshops, performances and programs led by and for young people, we create spaces where young people can feel like they can belong and express creativity.

In a time where 1 in 7 young Australians experience mental health challenges, access to creative spaces matters. Dance supports physical, social and emotional wellbeing and helps young people build resilience for the future.

Your support helps us keep these spaces accessible for everyone.

Throwback to this gem from the vaults!

A 2023 survey conducted by found more than half of young people aged 18-25 in Victoria struggled to forge new social connections.

While those surveyed believed in the importance of being involved with in person groups, most say finding such groups isn’t so easy.

Here at L2R Dance, we open our doors to dancers of all backgrounds and skill levels. Our free programs provide a safe, nurturing space for creativity, self-expression, confidence building and skills development, while cultivating a connection to community and peers.

Term 1 2026 at L2R Dance has arrived and it’s STACKED with TWO brand new classes! 🥞

In addition to our regular programming, on Wednesdays, we’ve added a JUNIOR BREAKING class and a JUNIOR LIL’ LEGENDS class at the St Albans Community Centre (STACC)!

We’ve also moved Tuesdays NEXT GEN to Phoenix Youth Centre in Footscray and Wednesdays NEXT GEN to the Youth Resource Centre in Hoppers Crossing.

So. Many. Options.

At L2R Dance, we know that January 26 represents mourning and resilience for First Nations people: it’s not a day to celebrate.

It is a day of survival for First Nations people, and for many, a placeholder that highlights the ongoing colonial violence that continues to manifest throughout this country.

Sovereignty was never ceded.

L2R pays respect to Elders past, present, and emerging
and acknowledges the responsibility of committing to a truth-telling process that promotes an honest and respectful path forward for future generations to build upon.

Always was, always will be 🖤💛❤️
