Today we celebrate IDAHOBIT, the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersex Discrimination and Transphobia.

First marked in 1990 after the World Health Organisation removed homosexuality from its Classification of Diseases, IDAHOBIT is both a celebration of progress and a reminder that the fight for equality, safety and acceptance is far from over.

At Love Shack, we stand proudly with our LGBTQIA+ family, today, tomorrow and every day. Always.

As Le***an Visibility Week 2026 (April 20–26) draws to a close, it’s a moment to reflect on why this week matters so deeply.

This global movement celebrates all le****ns, cis, trans and non-binary, while championing inclusivity, visibility, and representation. It’s a time to uplift voices, recognise leadership, and highlight the importance of community, culminating in Le***an Visibility Day tomorrow, April 26th.

At Love Shack Studios, creating a queer-friendly, inclusive space is part of everyday practice, where people feel safe to express themselves, be celebrated, and truly belong.

Because visibility isn’t just about being seen, it’s about being valued, heard, and supported, this week and always.

Millie Luby recently spent a day at Love Shack Studios, bringing in Sylvi Gunn to record what’s set to become a very special body of work.

While the physical takeaway might be minimal - just a single Polaroid to mark the moment - the real magic lives on in a hard drive now filled with beautifully captured recordings.

One straight from the memory bank, Back to the Shack 2019.

We loved hosting these absolute legends at the old Love Shack Studios. It was fun, joyful, loud and a bit sweaty… exactly how we like it!

Huge love to Tender Buttons, Beach Plaza, The New Dregs, Tracey Pham, Way S**t, Invisible Dears and Widows of the Parish for bringing the magic, and to everyone who showed up and brought the vibes.

So… what do we reckon?
Should we celebrate our reopening with a gig downstairs at Mamma Chen's?!

We absolutely LOVED christening the studio with the incredible Cat Crawl! What a way to kick things off, huge sounds, top-tier energy and one of those sessions that reminds us exactly why we do this.

Things are looking good and sounding even better in the studio!

Final touches are coming together and we’re so close now, so stay tuned for our official relaunch announcement cos it’s nearly time to open the doors properly!
