A SKKRRTT back to Group Rehearsal with a message from Edge Ensemble.
Devising and connecting weekly over food and art, has culminated in their original production D/Vision, which premiered at The Bowery Theatre in St Albans last Saturday August 29 in front of a warm and receptive audience.
St Albans Edge’s Bettaverse brought us into a world run by AI, and I do mean everything...your job, your social status, your choices (all the way down to who you love).
Autonomy is a thing of the past. Emotion is inefficient. And, futuristic sunglasses are mandatory.
But when the system demands conformity, these rebels had one question: How much of yourself would you give up in order to fit the algorithm? Bettaverse brought their vision of an AI Efficiency and Autonomy universe to the big stage in a BIG way!
Who are you when the system has already decided who you should be? A question posed by Footscray Edge’s Aria3011 world, where every citizen has a purpose — represent your nation, step into the spotlight, and perform for the glory of country. Behind the spectacle, however, lives a rebellion.
What happens when your identity is prescribed, and your future is already written? How long before you start rewriting the rules? All are questions which Aria3011 explore as they stepped up to challenge, beautifully and powerfully.
