WHERE WE STAND
Cook Street Collective
2-24 May
10-4 Fri-Mon

This exhibition brings together seven artists - Matilda Dumas, Sally Joubert, Mike Green, Rick Matear, Vera Möller, Janet Green, and Elizabeth Barnett - whose practices span landscape, still life, abstraction, and social commentary. Each work represents a point of observation, a way of standing in relation to the environment, objects, and ideas.
From subtle reflections on place and light to explorations of material, form, and human impact, the artists invite viewers to consider multiple perspectives on the world we share. “Where We Stand” is as much about the individual lens of each artist as it is about the collective engagement with the spaces, objects, and experiences that shape our understanding.

JOURNEY
Members of Cook Street Collective Exhibition in
Blackroom Gallery
2-24 May
10-4 Fri-Mon
A journey can be understood as physical movement from one place to another, with a clear beginning and end. It can also suggest something less defined: an opening toward the unknown, a process of discovery where experience matters more than destination.
Artists and makers from Cook Street
Collective respond to this theme through painting, sculpture, ceramics, weaving and printmaking, each presenting a work shaped by their own practice.

journey
What is a journey? The word originates from Latin, later entering French through jour, meaning a day—a day’s work or a day’s travel.
A journey may describe physical movement from here to there, a path marked by departure and arrival. Yet it can also point toward something less tangible: an opening into the unknown, a process of exploration and self-discovery where experience and transformation matter more than destination.
In this exhibition, artists and makers from Cook Street Collective respond to the idea of journey through their own creative practices. Each presents a work shaped by their
“day’s work,” expressed through painting, sculpture, ceramics, weaving and printmaking.
