🎶 Do you have to speak Polish to join Polonez? Many of our dancers and families ar
en’t native Polish speakers — most are Australian-born and raised — but we all share the same passion for Polish culture, music, and dance.
💃 Formed in 1965, the Polonez Song & Dance Ensemble has proudly promoted Polish song and dance throughout Victoria, Australia, and internationally — including Poland, Lithuania, and Ukraine. We’ve taken part in all 15 PolArt festivals in Australia and four international festivals of Polish Dance Groups in Rzeszów, Poland.
👨👩👧👦 With Junior, Intermediate, and Senior dance groups, a folk band, and a female singing group, Polonez has always been a family-oriented ensemble, deeply connected to the heart of Melbourne’s Polish community.
🌟 Interested in joining? We welcome new dancers aged 5 and up to experience Polish dancing at our Friday night practices held in the sports hall at Flemington Primary School (from 6pm).
