Finally finished one of the many experiments I’ve been toying with lately! I am a huge fan of and was inspired by his incredible work for this piece.
It was absurdly challenging, took months despite it only being 30x30cm and resulted in many colourful outbursts, but I can’t want to try again.
It’s by no means perfect, I still have a lot of work to do with technique and finding a resin better suited casting, but overall I’m pretty happy with how it turned out 🌴

GUYS! I’m still absurdly excited; over the weekend I held my first one-on-one resin workshop with the loveliest
I’ve always been a little hesitant at the thought of holding workshops, but it was a lot of fun and I am so proud of the beautiful pieces Janine made. I might even do it again! Can we take a second to admire that lacing casually perfect on the first go like no big deal?

I will never get tired of playing with this 🌀
Sometimes I can feel guilty and unproductive for ‘just’ toying around experimenting and not actually painting, but is the ultimate reminder that the process and the play are sometimes as important, if not more, than the finished product. What do you think?
