Our sailing clubs future is in good hands.
Albie had a great season, being true to his name "noble" "bright" and bringing "light", learning every time he was on the water, an always the happiest club racer on the day. Well done champ.
Bud managed to improve week on week to stay ahead of the handicapper and scuttle the competition to claim the main prize. Budding: Often used to describe an early-stage, promising evolution. "Budding sailor".
Looking forward to watch these young dynamos into the future.

Oh and almost forgot some old bald guy won the cat division.🤣

Commiserations to everyone that couldn’t make it to Sunday’s celebrations.
Thank you to Gary for his splendid slide show capturing some memories of Richard Hastings sailing career. It was great to hear so many testimonials on the day from fellow sailors that had learnt so much over the years from Richard, who has always been willing to encourage others and share his knowledge. I know I speak for all of us when I say we look forward to continuing to be inspired by the ‘Legend of the Lake’ into the future.
Congratulations to Richard for receiving the highest award on the day the SHSC Club bell and being granted life membership in honor of Richards distinguished, long-term service and dedication to sailing and the Southern Highlands Sailing Club.

Only 6 Races were sailed with 1 discard. Round 1 was not sailed due to FOG and Round 5 lost due to High Winds above 25 knots.

3rd Arthur Targa 14 pts

Congratulations to Mal on his Contender for his 3rd placing on count back.

There were 2 dead heats during the Summer. (2 decimal places - 100ths of a second)
Patrick and Brad equal first in Race 3, and
Mal and Andrew equal second in Race 8.

Looking forward to more members competing in Spring in both divisions.
