Corvine Art

Corvine Art We provide friendly advice and services to artists new to printmaking, and artists or art industries requiring print editions.

David began Corvine Art Studio in late 2015 while continuing his tenure for a Doctorate in Visual Arts at the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University, Brisbane. Printmaking was central to the doctorate, so developing a business around his private studio practice was inevitable. By word of mouth, and through contacts made during his tenure, David has been fortunate enough to have worked with

many artists and their representatives. Clients have included the Badu Arts Center, Badu Island, and KickArts, in Cairns, and artists such as Prof Ross Woodrow, Alick Tipoti, Joseph Au, Laurie Nona, Matilda Nona, Michael Nona, Ryan Presley, Delvene Cockatoo-Collins and Hesam Ferrati. Now that David’s tenure has been completed, he is able to devote more time to Corvine Art Studio.

Finally, I got a chop! I am at present making up for lost time and nothing is safe.

And a huge thanks-very-much to Susanne Nelles who insisted on paying for it! Great little machine, effective and crease free. Susanne also recently purchased a print from my latest exhibition and this is the first print to be chopped, yay:)

Susanne is also responsible for the great photos of me being careful with a pencil and struggling with the wee new gadget.

Though Corvine Art has been operating since late 2015, I've now finished academic pursuits, and have more time to devote to the business. The previous website needed a serious overhaul and a new website for Corvine Art has finally been published, woot:)

So to begin the shameless self-promotion a brief outline of services follows...

Corvine Art Studio provides two services in the main, although we will consider any proposals regarding an art project's production.

The first is to facilitate the process of taking a block to a print.

So our first service is advice, plate processing and print development for artists unfamiliar with printmaking, and assistance through the process for those more confident with the process.

Our fee for this type of service depends on the needs of the client and their budget.

The second service we provide is printing editions of fine art prints for artists and their representatives.

And that's that, the new wesite is...
