Submissions are to be in by late August 2017. Final submission date to be confirmed. Entries can be from individuals or groups. All entrant(s) must either email to [email protected] or include on the submitted USB a document stating the entrant(s): name, date of birth, current residential address, country of birth, contact telephone number and email address. No age restriction for entrants. There is no charge to submit a film. Films will be privately judged by a panel of independent local dignitaries on the following elemental criteria:
Narrative (%50)/Sound (%16)/Editing (%16)/Visuals (%18)
For every film, each judge's score from each element is aggregated. For example, Film 'X' could score for 'Narrative' from each judge:
Judge A) Narrative (34/50)
Judge B) Narrative (30/50)
Judge C) Narrative (37/50)
The total for 'Narrative' for Film 'X' is the aggregate of each judge's score, 33.67. This is repeated for Sound, Editing and Visuals, resulting in a total score (maximum score is 100). There is a more significant weighting for 'Narrative' as the competition encourages content that emphasises the cinematic art of storytelling. www.festival.ningalens.com
