Another week drifts by like tide from shore,
The sun sets gently over Evans Head once more.
We wait where memories still breathe your name,
Each quiet day the same, the same.
The ocean knows the words we cannot say,
It holds our ache, it hears us pray.
For even just a sign, a fragile thread,
To know we still live somewhere in your head.
Silence weighs heavier than any truth,
Yet hope stays stubborn, tender, uncouth.
Because hearts don’t linger where nothing’s real;
They wait because they still feel.
So if one moment crosses your care,
A thought of us carried in the air,
Let it find its way, however small,
Just to say you care at all.
We’re here. We’re hoping. Still the same.
By the sea.
By love.
In Evans Head.
Waiting for you Tones And I.
