I was going through my photos on my laptop today and came across these books. I saw a tutorial a while back about how to make these on YouTube and thought I'd have a go at making them.
I got to thinking that I have tried so many different things in my art journey and have discovered I want to be able to embrace each art piece/Journal I do with more thought of my own style and to be ok with feeling vulnerable while doing so (No Picasso here).
I have drawn so much inspiration from a lot of artists on YouTube and owe a lot of gratitude to them all but now I want to learn how to take some of those snippets I have learnt along the way and develop my own style further.
I know these things are certain...I love to make art journals and I love to paint. I love sharing and teaching art that is more meaningful and freeing. To allow those I teach to be in the moment. Not feel judged and to feel safe in expressing and exploring their own style and making an art piece that has no judgement, only a learning opportunity and some time to just have fun trying. We all have it in us and if you think not, well why not just try and enjoy the process anyway. No judgements.
This is why I love art journals because I get to practice these things without the judgement, we put on ourselves and/or the judgement of others and allow it to...JUST BE...BE FREE. Make Art like no one cares what the end result is.
