• WESTERN HONEY BEE •
A photo of my most recent ink stippling piece. This Western Honey Bee was inspired by one of the worker bees from my hive at home. I am incredibly humbled by these little creatures and have a lot to learn. They are absolutely fascinating 🐝

You can find prints created from this original online via my website (size A5 & A4).

It’s 9x5 time! Stoked to be able to juuust make the cut off for submissions this year. I love participating in this particular event at the .

1. “Banksia Prionotes” an ink stippling piece based on a photo I took out Monjingup ways a year or two ago. These may be my favourite banksia flower?! Also… this is my first art piece since Koston was born, so it’s a bit special 🥹

2. “Red Blossom” a watercolour piece that I completed during the botanical study workshop that I held in early September.

The 9x5 Exhibition opens on the 10th of November in the main gallery at the . These pieces (and many more) will be going to auction on the 17th or December. I can’t wait to see all of the other amazing submissions ♥️

Spring is well and truly here 😌 here’s a snap of a blossom I painted during my last workshop. I had such a great night and can’t wait to be doing more.

As much as I love painting botanicals… It’s time for a new marine piece, stay tuned 🥰

Last weeks efforts… I had some fun downsizing one of my favourite ink stippling pieces for another commissioned tattoo design.

I didn’t want to sacrifice any of the details. I used the finest pen I had, and even though I wore my glasses; I had to stop and rub my eyes quite a few times 😂

The overall size is 10cm from head to caudal fin. The second picture shows the original size (A3) next to this little guy.

Thanks for challenging me yet, again ♥️ can’t wait to see this on your skin 🦈🦈🦈

• SEA GLASS •
Somehow I’ve missed posting a photo of this duo on my grid (need to get better at SM).

Last night Van was playing with my sea glass collection and it got me thinking about these paintings.

I’ve decided to have a SALE on them as we come into the end of financial year to make room for new stock.

For the month of June we will be making our regular donation of 10% of profits to but we also decided to donate an extra 5% to support 💙💙💙

So if you’ve had your eye on these pieces now is the perfect time, head to my website or the link in my stories for more information 💙

Thanks so much for all of your support this past year!

2022 has been a massive year for me personally, but also artistically. This year we moved into our home that we built from the ground up. After months of living in a house again, I still wake up every morning and cannot believe how fortunate we are. How easy it is to just turn a tap and have hot water, or the fact that I have an oven. My year was already made by these simple, yet luxurious things.

This year I also had the opportunity to exhibit my work for the first time and was completely blown away when I walked away with an award at the Esperance Art Awards. I’ve been able to do more commissions than ever. I’ve seen my art in the form of merchandise, clothing and tattoos - which is insanely special. I still have the time to paint what I feel and have been inspired by so many places, creatures and people.

Here’s the thing though, (I’ve been reflecting on this a lot lately) as much as I enjoy creating (for myself)… I wouldn’t be able to afford to do it as much as I do without all of you. The viewer, what is an artwork without a viewer? Without someone to take it in? When I look at my own work I see what my day was like that day, I remember what music I was listening to and what current life events I was digesting at the time. I remember the emotions I was feeling during those parts of my life. But what do you see when you look at it? That’s what I love to hear from people: how differently everyone interprets my work from a viewer’s perspective. It’s something real special.

So, THANK YOU! I wouldn’t be where I am without you all.

We’re ending the year with our biggest donation to yet! Stoked to be bringing in the new year on that note 💙

I’m really excited for next year and all that it will bring. Happy New Year friends 💙

• LAST LIGHT •
An A2 watercolour painting on cotton rag. ‘Last Light ‘ is another commissioned piece that I’ve finished these past couple of weeks. This one was a different perspective for me and I don’t paint lot of landscapes in general - but I enjoyed the challenge. I love that my practice is always changing and growing 🌱

Thanks for asking me to do this one 💙💜🧡💛

I am still buzzing this morning. Feeling so grateful to have even participated, let alone come away with an award!

The sense of community last night was unreal. Thank you so much to the Cannery Arts Centre for giving me the opportunity to exhibit my work and be a part of the Esperance Art Awards.

The sense of community last night was unreal. Thank you so much to the Cannery Arts Centre for giving me the opportunity to exhibit my work and be a part of the Esperance Art Awards. Thank you to Julian Bowral for visiting Esperance to judge this competition and thank you to the Shire of Esperance for sponsoring this award.

I am feeling overwhelmingly honoured!

Lastly, thank you SO much to everyone who has supported me. Whether it be buying one of my pieces or engaging with me on social media. I appreciate you all so much 🙏🏼

Be sure to pop into the Cannery to see some amazing artworks before the exhibition ends on the 31st of January.

Thanks so much again ♥️
