After an amazing first few months of the year here at PACT we will now be spending some time with doors closed as we finish the final touches of the new and improved lighting grid.

We are so thankful to our generous donors and the NSW Government for this once-in-a-generation opportunity and can't wait to welcome you all back to shows and experiences in July with an amazing upgraded grid... making future theatre here at PACT all the more mesmerising! Efficient for our technicians! An improved ability to be more creative with Lighting design and plotting!

We can't wait to have you back!

Photography of Ash Veitch's end of residency showing by Valerie Joy.

Ash worked on 'Longing', an abstract contemporary dance work set in a distant future, explores the consequences of human detachment from the body and emotional self. The work imagined the final remnants of a human on Earth, moving slowly, uneasily, and laboured. It was an exploration that searches for hope, connection, and a sense of belonging.

Amit German, worked with exploring glitch — not simply as an image, but as a method: a way of staying with delay, drift, and the feeling of not quite matching up.

REVIVAL! CMI (A Certain Maritime Incident) night three was beautiful and moving. Three artists responded to the original CMI production with powerful short works created from lived experiences of asylum seeker and refugee backgrounds.

We saw the works of Adeeb Razzouk in collaboration with Amy Morris, Neda Taha and Mahdi Mohammadi with Kobra Sayyadi, Paul Dwyer and Frank Dwyer.
There was then an inspiring panel conversation led by Alissar Chidiac with all the response artists.

Thankyou to all who came and witnessed.

REVIVAL! CMI was presented by PACT, Intimate Spectacle and Alternative Facts.

Ash begins her residency with us on the 27th of April! We can't wait to see her exploration, play and discovery.

"I'm super excited to have the support from PACT and my mentors, to help me probe even deeper into the questions I have surrounding this work and the world it lives within. I'm also really looking forward to delving deeper into the understanding of my own movement practice and exploring the movement vocabulary between pedestrianism and an otherworldly organism."
