In a world where strength and a ‘can-do’ attitude are so highly valued, can she find space for vulnerability? One Saturday afternoon her life gets unzipped in a way she never saw coming… and it might just be the very mess she needs.

MEET THE TEAM

David Allsopp – Director, Co-Writer, Co-Producer

David is an award-winning playwright, actor and director coming fresh from an impressive Short+Sweet Sydney 2021 at the Tom Mann Theatre, where his play Buried Treasure collected awards for Best Script, Best Director and two Actors Circle awards. He has appeared in productions such as Boeing Boeing, Caravan, Dial M for Murder, The Odd Couple (Female Version), Rumors and Love Letters, and is currently deep into rehearsals for Moon Over Buffalo. David has recently served as Assistant Director on productions of Moonlight & Magnolias and Blithe Spirit.

“When Dave is directing, you know you're free to experiment and play, while his keen eye for authenticity keeps it real. On top of that, he's a storyteller who writes with heart, humanity and humour - the trifecta!” - K.P.

Vanessa Merewether – Actor

Vanessa is a passionate performer who has long been taking Sydney’s stages by storm. Able to switch between comedy and drama with ease (sometimes within a single scene!), some of her more recent highlights include roles as Penny in Caravan, Claudia in Birthrights, Carmela in Influence, Vida Goldstein in Alfred Deakin Is Afraid Of The Dark, and Jane/Sarah in Speaking in Tongues.

Dan Ferris – Actor

Dan is a versatile actor and singer who has worked in numerous drama and musical theatre groups around Sydney for the last 20 years. He is just as at home playing serious drama or strong comedy, relishing any acting challenge. His lead roles have spanned modern and classic Broadway and West End plays, as well as classic musicals and operetta. Recent productions include starring as Charles Condomine in Blithe Spirit, Giles Ralston in The Mousetrap, Charles Hart in Nell Gwyn, Robert in Boeing Boeing, and Max Halliday in Dial M for Murder.
