Another full on week coming up at the MoshPit, have a gander 👀at the gig guide. Thursday's are back from this week.

No Open Mic this Wednesday as we have a bunch of bands playing. Open Mic will be back on Wednesday 9th September and will then run for the next 12 weeks before we shut down the venue.

Open Mic bookings are now essential due to heaps of interest. If you just rock up on the night you likely won't get a spot. Please email Shannon at [email protected] to book a spot from 9th September onwards.

Happy Hour is still going strong with $5 schooners and $7 pints of Young Henrys Natural Lager and $5 glasses of house wine:

Mon: 6 till 7:30pm
Wed - Fri: 5 till 7pm
Sat: 6 till 8pm

Sunday arvo at the MoshPit we have laurapanic, Fleeting Persuasion and The Timid Sea on stage at the venue for the last time.

Entry is just $5 or $1.67 per band so head on down and give these guys some support and have a couple of drinks while you're at it.

laurapanic is a NoWave/Heavy Noise band from Newy.

Fleeting Persuasion are the more dense, full band sounding project of Melbourne based James Spencer Harrison. Fleeting Persuasion have supported The Clouds, China Crisis and Steve Kilbey.

The Timid Sea are a 3 piece from the Illawarra playing Aussie indie, punk and garage.

And if that wasn't enough, we've just tapped this beauty, Evil Lamb 2 from NEW ENGLAND BREWING CO. 🇦🇺 and it'll be pouring this arvo. A Hazy IPA dominated by massive Riwaka and Galaxy notes of tropical, citrus and stone fruits.

Remember, just because it looks cute....

6.8% ABV. One keg only folks.

To celebrate Springfest III which is on at the MoshPit all day today we've just tapped a very spring-like beer.

Hazy Mango Pale Ale from Reckless Brewing Co. is now pouring. From the brewery:

Mango leads the way, and there ain’t anything subtle about it. Mango up front, mango through the middle and just enough tropical hop character to keep it interesting. A soft, hazy base built on silky oats and rolled wheat gives this beer its signature smooth, rounded body that carries all that fruit without the heaviness. Juicy, bright & easy drinking. 4.4% ABV.

Springfest is a wonderful local community event in it's third year at the MoshPit. Over 20 local acts, raffles, prizes, give-aways, and artwork from Peter Freimanis is being exhibited. The whole day is put together by the amazing Whatever Eva.

It starts right now and goes through until midnight. Come on down for a fun packed day.

Here's what's coming your way this week at the MoshPit Bar.

We've got comedy, Open Mic and a heap of bands. Saturday is jam packed with Springfest III, have a look at that massive line up.

We're closed Tuesday and Thursday, Thursday's are back from next week.

14 weeks to go, so come on down the Paris End of King St for some top entertainment.

Sunday arvo at the MoshPit, we've got three top bands playing for you, and it's FREE ENTRY.

Revora, Collide and Red Violet are taking to the MoshPit stage from 4pm. Bar opens at 3pm.

Swing on by if you're in the area, have a drink and watch some free live music. Better than sitting at home all afternoon.

Just tapped in time for the weekend! Truckload IPA from New England Brewing Company who never fail to deliver a top beer.

Tasting notes from the brewery:

Our brewers reckoned we’d need a truckload of hops to brew this IPA the right way. So we reached out to get the finest truckload of Australian and US hops for an IPA that doesn’t hold back. Big on aroma, clean present bitterness, and lasting fruits. Back it up, that’ll do.

Wednesday night is Open Band and Open Mic night at the MoshPit Bar.

This week we have a couple of great bands, The Tender Mercies, and Audrey and the Young Ones, plus a few solo and duo performers finishing with an Open Jam after 10pm.

We have a full drum kit, bass and guitar amps plus toy keys.

Free entry.

Bar Opens at 5pm for the best Happy Two Hours around with $5 schooners and $7 pints of Young Henrys Natural Lager and $5 glasses of house Red and White wine.

Open Mic from 7pm.
