We’re going OFF-SITE for a BTS look at rehearsals for the Frilledneck Fashion Runway at Australian Dance Festival! 🖤

Rocky, Isla + Ethan are our three WSDA dancers selected to join an incredible cast from across Sydney and this year’s collection is NEXT LEVEL 🤩🤩🤩

Amelia + the Frilledneck team have gone all out, while Mr Wil + SOUND MODA have created a bespoke mix to bring it all to life 🔥

DAY 23/30 🚨🔥 WE WERE SO HOT ON STAGE… WE SET OFF THE FIRE ALARMS 😂

The FINAL instalment of Dance Life Unite Sydney and obviously we had to finish with absolute CHAOS🤣

Fire alarms mid-Senior Hip Hop, firemen arriving, everyone in a frenzy… you genuinely couldn’t write it!!!

Plus a little side-stage Mary Poppins magic ☂️, Mr Wil keeping everyone alive with a Cadbury Favourites feeding frenzy 🍫😂 and our Astro Crews absolutely SMASHING IT! 🏆

One huge, manic, incredible day - and we LOVED every second. Nationals… WE’RE COMING! 🔥

DAY 22 OF 30 ✨ MARY POPPINS!

This one deserved a post of its own! Featuring performers aged 3–18, Mary Poppins was a HUGE labour of love - developed, staged, directed & choreographed by Mr Wil, with storyline, characters, costumes and staging packed into five minutes of pure Musical Theatre magic ✨

The audience claps along every time - and this cast took out 1ST PLACE in the Open Age section! 🏆☂️

Bohemian Rhapsody levelled UP, Astro Girls brought the energy, our small group contemporary was magic… and the kids absolutely DELIVERED ❤️‍🔥

Our UNDEFEATED, WORLD TITLE-WINNING small group jazz by the one and only Lauren Elton 👑

This one is a FOREVER FAVE. The kids absolutely LOVED performing it… and every year since, we hear “Can we do it again?!” 😂

Packed with content, hitting every beat and accent, with strong jazz technique and that fierce commercial edge these kids absolutely ATE 🔥👏

I’ve also got the professionally filmed concert version sitting in the archives… 👀

DAY 18 OF 30 ✨ MEET ISLA MARTIN 🥹

Straight off the back of an intense training session, we sat down with Isla for a little trip down memory lane… and this one is for every young dancer ❤️

Isla’s journey is the definition of hard work, self-belief and consistency. From working endlessly on her pirouettes, relevé and confidence, to becoming the incredible dancer she is today… winning huge national & international titles and now inspiring our younger dancers herself 🥹✨

Some hilarious throwbacks, candid moments and BIG champ energy tucked into this one 😂🏆

DAY 17 OF 30 🔥 FITNESS + ACRO WITH MR WIL 🤸‍♂️💪

Come behind the scenes of our Wednesday afternoon kick-off!

We start with cross-training + fitness drills designed to build strength, stamina, power, balance and control…while helping condition our superstars to reduce the risk of common dance injuries 😍😍

Then it’s a full-body warm-up + stretch before we hit ACRO 🤸‍♀️ Starting with the foundations, building through our drills and progressions, all the way to tumbling… and of course, FREE CHOICE at the end 🔥

Some of the kids are mic’d up in this one, so you KNOW it’s chaos 😂🎤

The perfect way to get the bodies switched ON before Musical Theatre, Hip Hop + Tap EVERY WEDNESDAY!! 🤩🤩

Strong dancers + Smart training = BIG energy!! ⚡️
