Emerald Pottery CLUB INC. Welcome to Emerald Pottery Club Inc; a not-for-profit, volunteer club with a mission to inspire. WHO ARE WE? WHAT DO WE DO? HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?

The Emerald Pottery Club is formed by adult volunteeers located in Emerald and surrounding communities. We get together on Wednesday evenings to learn from eachother about pottery and make art. We work together to keep the pottery studio operating, and we promote our skills through sporadic workshops and events throughout the year. We are not a formal classroom with a regular set of classes or instructors. We learn from each other and build our skills through informal mentorship. With money we receive from grants, we offer one-off workshops to the public or for kids. If you'd like to become a member, drop by the studio on the FIRST Wednesday of the month at 5:00pm to check out the space. From there, you register as an annual member and get access to the club at your leisure. The cost of an annual membership is $50. This does not include clay, glazes or firings. WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED? We are located behind the Emerald Library, past the dance studio where the Patchwork and the Photographer clubs are.

When you start your pottery journey no one ever speaks of the apron collection you never really use, ( hand building rarely gets dirty) nor the amount of cardboard boxes you need to transport your stuff or the large collection of now not so common plastic bags for drying your project slowly or the storage space you didn’t know you needed… or the odd snake that wanders through your clay bags or the cockatoo that sit on your veranda!! While you play with clay! Western potters doing it differently because of our very dry climate.
