Busy day today setting up our group exhibition Naturescapes and the Journey Within at St Arnaud Raillery Hub Gallery Opening from this Friday 27th June 11am. A lot of interesting textile and mixed media art and new products in the shop. Official opening Saturday at 2pm.

Our aim will be to join together to produce a Community Art piece titled 'Finding Freedom' to help raise awareness of refugees in Australia.

You do not have to be a refugee to participate in this event. The art piece will be on display in the library for a month after event. All materials supplied.

Getting excited to be part of this group exhibition alongside my mum, my daughter and dear friends. Three generations of makers! It is going to be great. St Arnaud Raillery Hub Gallery

Attached is a close up of one of my artworks titled Tranquillity Bay - wet felted using textured scarves/fabrics, lace motifs and shell beads from broken jewellery. I love incorporating found objects and upcycling items in my art.

Sneek peek of my own work in development. It's been a while since I have posted, but I am finding a bit more time to be creative and have the energy and headspace all aligning at the same time 👏.

Making this costume garment is so fun. I just love the colours and the effect of Nuno felting using Paj silk. I love to incorporate and feature found objects and thrift items in each of my finished pieces. In this garment I am upcycling some jewellery pieces and using scraps of knitting and other fabrics to create texture for leaves, etc. Lots of stitching to come. More will be revealed over the next few months.

The work in this exhibition looks fantastic...so many good examples of upcycling, recycling and wearable art. Will definately try and take a drive there.
