Gemma's experience in the recording studio is extensive - from jingles for radio, backing vocals, and her own vocals for her award winning Songwriting. The saying “Those who can’t do - teach”, is something that no longer applies in today’s society. Some of the best hospitals in the world, with the highest quality of care, are teaching hospitals. With highly coveted doctors, teaching the future generation of the medical profession.

This applies to any industry, with music no exception. When finding yourself a music teacher, you want to find someone gigging every weekend, who is able to utilise the technique they’re teaching you and apply it in a professional setting. And the busier they are, the better, because that means the technique they’re teaching you WORKS.

When working in the music industry you need to have the ability to sing for 3, 4 and in my case, sometimes 5 hours at a time and not have your voice collapse from misuse, as well as utilise a combination of tone, pitch and dynamics that draw in the listener so that the venue asks you back, time and again.

There’s nothing more satisfying than hearing from your agent or the venue itself, that they want you back.

So make sure the vocal coach you employ to train that voice of yours, is not only a great vocal coach, but also a busy, working musician.

I am so excited to announce that I’m opening our doors again in Term 2, in a new location - Eglinton. I can’t wait to see and meet some new faces and be reunited with past students. What a crazy ride this Covid business has been! Make sure to book your lesson in ASAP, as one day is already full and there are only limited times available.
