Harvey's Music School Learn to 'groove' on guitar, bass or drums Professional bass player and drummer with 35 years of experience offers lessons to help you improve your ‘groove’.

Learn to play in a rhythm section on bass or drums by playing along with the teacher on corresponding instrument. Lessons are tailored individually, based on student experience and style of music. Additional topics that can be covered are: technical side and set-up of basses, amps, effects pedals and drums; songwriting and recording of the rhythm section; how to coordinate singing and playing inst

ruments; music theory. Teaching facility at Harvey's studio in Fremantle or at your place within Fremantle area and adjacent suburbs. Hourly rate: $50

I find that using different effects pedals on bass is a great inspiration for practice and songwriting ... also, if you play Song 2 by Blur you need a 'Big M**f'!

About the cover photo: this the great 1980's Craaft Bassic 400 amp, made by Solton in Germany. It cleanly amplifies the bass sound without adding it's own "flavour". It's also built like a tank. If you ever see one second hand, buy it!
