Naturaliste Spanish Dance Company was established by Danielle Phipps in 2016, with the vision of bringing Spanish Dance to Western Australia's South West. Qualified as a 'Maestro De Baile' by the Instituto De la Danza Espanola, Danielle is able to teach exam syllabus, as well as recreational classes for both children and adults. Spanish dance (which includes the famous ‘flamenco’ style), is a very

diverse and continually evolving genre of dance. It can be enjoyed by students of all ages and backgrounds, and while it beautifully compliments a classically trained dancer, it can be learned and enjoyed by an adult with no formal dance training (coordination does help, of course!). Children and adults alike love Spanish dance; the challenge of learning to play castanets, swirl colourful skirts and stamp out beautiful rhythms. It helps develop coordination, musicality and confidence, and is a style of dance which allows the performer to express and explore their individuality and personality.
