Cancer arrives with the Solstice, a powerful turning point in the yearly cycle. In the Northern Hemisphere, Cancer season begins alongside the Summer Solstice, when the light reaches its peak, the days are longest, and life turns toward warmth, growth, nourishment, and connection. In the Southern Hemisphere, Cancer season begins alongside the Winter Solstice, when the nights are longest and nature invites rest, reflection, restoration, and a return to what truly sustains us. Though the seasons differ, both Solstices mark a sacred threshold, a moment to pause, honour the cycles of nature, and reconnect with what feels most meaningful and essential.

This cardinal water sign is connected to emotion, memory, intuition, home, family, and the need to feel safe enough to soften. Cancer represents the part of us that wants to care, protect, remember, and
create a place of belonging.

Ruled by the Moon, Cancer is sensitive, nurturing, intuitive, protective, and deeply connected to emotional rhythms. Cancer loves home, family, ancestry, comfort, familiar places, meaningful traditions, and the quiet forms of care that make people feel held. Like the crab that symbolizes it, Cancer has a soft inner world protected by a hard outer shell, and it often moves carefully through life, sensing what is safe before fully opening. At its best, Cancer is loving, devoted, compassionate, emotionally wise, and protective. In shadow, that same energy can become moodiness, defensiveness, clinginess, passive
aggression, or retreating too deeply into the past.

Cancer is tied to home, motherhood, ancestry, emotional memory, intuition, caregiving and the private world of the heart. It is connected to the Mother, the Protector, the Ancestor Keeper, the Healer, and the Hearth Tender, all figures rooted in care, protection,
memory, and emotional devotion.

The symbol of Cancer comes from the crab, a creature that carries its protection with it and moves between land and water, reflecting Cancer’s connection to both the emotional and physical need for safety.

Cancer reminds us that what we protect and nurture shapes the people we become 🦀

Meet Lauren ✨

Lauren joined us on our Rituals to Regulate retreat in Bali this year. As someone who helps business owners and entrepreneurs master sales, leadership, and build thriving teams without burning out, she knows the value of showing up for others.

This week was about showing up for herself.

Thank you, Lauren, for sharing your reflections from our time together. Your words are a beautiful reminder of what becomes possible when we step away from the demands of everyday life, gather with women and create space for rest, clarity, connection, and growth.

If you’ve been craving time to reconnect with yourself, this could be your sign 🧡

has a retreat happening 13 - 19 September in Siem Reap, Cambodia. A nourishing and transformative week of connection, wellbeing, sisterhood and songs!

📍 , Byron Bay, Australia

My Earth Altar creations exist for only a moment. They are temporary in nature. Ephemeral art. The wind moves them, the tide takes them or the forest reclaims them.

This colouring book was born from a desire to preserve some of my favourite creations and the memories woven through them.

Each page began as an Earth Altar made from treasures gathered in nature, then transformed into a colouring page for you to bring to life in your own way.

Colour them exactly as they were, reimagine them completely or allow them to inspire an altar of your own.

09/06/2026 - Winter ❄️
📍Uluwatu, Bali, Indonesia 🇮🇩

Many different timelines present themselves to me when I’m on this land, immersed in the culture of Bali. It’s a different frequency. People doing inspiring things, living lives that expand my sense of what’s possible. Every day I witness paths I could take, versions of myself I could become.

Sometimes that feels exciting. Sometimes overwhelming.

There are moments when I don’t know what the next step is. When my mind wants certainty, a plan and a guarantee. But I’ve learned that not every answer comes through thinking.

Creating Earth Altars has become one of the ways I listen.

Hands in the Earth. Gathering leaves, flowers, stones and shells. Slowing down enough to hear what is beneath the noise of the mind. Tuning into the rhythm of nature.

I believe the path is always calling us and when we become still enough to listen, we remember the timeline we’ve already chosen with our heart.

Comment “LISTEN” for the link to my newest offering - Natures Medicine, an online journey to help you tune into the medicine found in nature and your own self 🤎

It’s hard to even get a glimpse into the depth of what happens around an Earth Altar from photos. To not only capture the beauty of it, but the energy, intention, and transformation it holds.

This altar became the anchor point for our Rituals to Regulate Retreat.

Over the week, we gathered around it to set intentions, release what was no longer serving us, move emotions, offer prayers, connect with the elements, perform spells and create rituals that supported our individual and collective journeys.

It may look like just a collection of flowers, leaves, stones and shells. But to us, it held so much more. So many stories, so many intentions, so many moments of courage, surrender, laughter, grief, connection and transformation.

There was so much unseen energy woven into this space.

One of the gifts of retreat is having the time to return to the same altar again and again, allowing it to evolve alongside us. Each ritual adding another layer. Each day deepening the relationship.

And one of my favourite parts of the Earth Altar practice is that it is temporary. The natural materials absorb the magic of the journey before being returned to the earth, completing the cycle. Nothing held onto, nothing wasted, everything honoured.

If you’re curious about creating your own Earth Altar and learning simple rituals to work with it, I’ve created a 5-day journey to help you begin (sign up is free).
