One thing we are incredibly passionate about as teachers is our Hip Hop pieces. At Urban, Hip Hop is something we truly specialise in, and it’s a genre where we’ve consistently shown real strength over the years.

It has always been a crowd favourite, and throughout the years our students have been exposed to so many different styles, grooves, foundations, and rhythms that make them versatile performers.

We’ve been so lucky to teach so many dancers who have walked through our doors the true foundation of Hip Hop, and watching that growth year after year is something I’m so proud of.

This weekend, that hard work truly showed. In an incredibly tough competition surrounded by so many amazing dance schools and talented performers… EVERY SINGLE one of our Hip Hop groups placed in EVERY SINGLE section!!!! How crazy is that?!

And what makes this even more special is that this wasn’t just one successful age group… this was FIVE different age groups. FIVE. 😮

From our youngest dancers right through to our oldest performers, to see consistent results across every division truly says something.

Something else I’m incredibly proud of is that all choreography is created completely in house and choreographed by Miss Kalitha. Every routine is built from our own creativity or our own vision which is even more rewarding! 👏

To have that level of success across all age groups must mean there is a genuine specialty and strength in that particular area - and that makes me incredibly proud. 🥹

It is so rewarding to see elite training and hard work produce results.

At Urban, we train hard, expectations are high, standards are high, and we are constantly pushing to be better. We work incredibly hard for moments like this, and one thing is certain - we will continue. 🔥

What an incredible two days we’ve had at Dubbo Eisteddfod with our juniors! ✨

Our 12 years & under troupes have worked incredibly hard over the last few months and honestly, there’s never really a break. It’s always hard work here. Expectations are high, set high by our teachers, and there’s no stopping.

Today was one of those moments where we could stand back and say… hard work and discipline really do pay off…and it shows! 👏

At our studio, we believe focus and full commitment are key. When students come into the studio ready to work, determined to improve, and willing to give 100% every single time, the results speak for themselves. Success doesn’t just happen - it comes from consistency, discipline, teamwork and effort.

We wouldn’t have it any other way. Our students have built themselves from the ground up through training, pushing themselves every step of the way, and the improvement we’ve seen has been absolutely incredible. They have grown by leaps and bounds, and we couldn’t be prouder.

A huge thank you to all of our staff who continue to put in endless hours behind the scenes. The dedication, commitment, and care you give these students never goes unnoticed.

To every single child who performed this weekend - we are beyond proud of you. Well done! You were focused, determined, in the zone, and ready to work hard… and that commitment pays off when you work as a team.

It is so special watching our students thrive and seeing their growth unfold on stage. Every single dancer played an important role this weekend, and I’m incredibly proud of the team we have built today.

A massive congratulations to all of our students who achieved outstanding results in the Acro sections! What an incredible achievement to see such fantastic success across every single division — something we are so proud of as a team.

A huge thank you goes to Miss Molly from Molly’s Tumble Co for all of the hard work, dedication, training and passion that has gone into preparing our students. The growth, strength and confidence shown on stage is a reflection of the time and effort invested behind the scenes.

To achieve success not in just one division, but across all divisions is something truly special and a testament to the commitment of everyone involved.

A very special thank you to Miss Molly from Molly’s Tumble Co, who has been such an important part of this journey. Miss Molly has always dedicated so much of her own time to every single child she has ever taught. She constantly goes above and beyond, not only in training but in genuinely caring about each student’s growth, progress and confidence. Her passion and commitment never go unnoticed, and we want to take the time to truly acknowledge everything she pours into our kids.

We are beyond proud of each and every student — keep striving, keep growing, and enjoy celebrating such a huge accomplishment. What a moment for our team! 🤍✨

We welcome Week 9 tomorrow which officially means… Dubbo Eisteddfod Week is here!!

Our Troupe Weekend kicks off this Friday and we are so excited as this marks the second competition for our Performance Teams this season! We were lucky enough to begin our competition journey at Gulgong Eisteddfod and what an incredible year it has already been.

Just a little update, our company students have already competed at Terrigal with Canberra up next - and we have several of our Company dancers heading to competitions outside of the region which is so exciting.. We absolutely love venturing out and creating new opportunities for our dancers! ✨

On top of all of that… we have already started creating the magic for our EOY Concert.. can you believe it?! 😮 It honestly feels like this year is flying by!

A huge congratulations to all of our soloists who recently competed at Dubbo Eisteddfod — we are so proud of every single one of you. A very special shoutout to Jobie for receiving a major award 👏 What an incredible achievement!

We cannot wait to share everything we have planned for Urban over the next few months… there is so much happening behind the scenes.
