We're excited to share that our short film, "Nothing to Lose" screened this weekend as part of the Northwood Film Festival in West Palm Beach, Florida. It's exciting that a Dubbo made short film has reached audiences across the ocean.

"Nothing to Lose" has also been selected to screen as part of the Stay Gold Film festival in Oklahoma, as part of a months long program screening films from around the world.

The film began as a short play produced through Wesley House Players Theatre Company's 2025 new&renew season, before being adapted for screen in collaboration with Daniel Rutter Films and premiering locally at the 2025 Dubbo Filmmakers One Eye Film Festival.

Thanks to everyone involved in bringing this project to life.

On ANZAC Day, we pause to remember the people who have served, sacrificed, and carried the stories of service in their own lives and families.

Indistinct Chatter’s song “Shiny Shoes and Medals” was written about local veteran Tom Gray. It’s a small musical tribute to one person’s story, but also a reminder of the many local lives connected to service, memory, loss, pride, and remembrance.

It’s on tonight!

AI Wrote This Play: The Return is happening at the Black Box Theatre - and it’s FREE.

Part conversation, part experimentation, part performance, this is a live event where we’ll create a short play in real time using AI, with input from the audience, then bring it straight to life on stage with local actors.

There’ll also be a panel discussion exploring what generative AI means for creativity: the opportunities, the concerns, and the big questions we’re all still figuring out.

🕖 Tonight, 7:00 PM
📍 Black Box Theatre, Western Plains Cultural Centre (upstairs Community Art Rooms)

🎟 Register if you can: https://events.humanitix.com/ai-wrote-this-play-the-return
Or just come along on the night.

✔️ Family-friendly (PG content)
✔️ Audience participation encouraged
