Storytelling in Cold Wax & Mixed Media
I am thrilled to announce a brand new iteration of my Cold Wax Workshop! I’ve taken the core techniques and expanded them into a 3-day journey (April 18-20) focused on texture, narrative, and surface manipulation.
I will be introducing Encaustic Collagraphs into the mix—creating unique textures on Day 1 that will be buried and excavated within your final pieces on Day 3.
Together we’ll also tackle the "Why," helping you craft an artist statement so your work communicates your unique concept.
The Schedule:
✨ Day 1: Experimental works on wet tissue, Encaustic Collagraphs, and substrate prep (Aluminium & Wood).
✨ Day 2: Artist Statements, Colour Studies, and laying the foundation with pigments and oils.
✨ Day 3: Design principles, Collage integration, and Reduction techniques.

Cost:
• Tuition: $200 per day.
• Materials: $60 per day OR Bring Your Own.
What does the $60 materials fee cover?
Everything! We supply the Cold Wax, 30x30 substrates, pigments, oils, specialized papers (wet strength & tissue), and full access to encaustic tools and hot wax.
