Volunteer Assistant - Donnybrook Theatre Troupe
The Donnybrook Theatre Troupe is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Volunteer Assistant. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our theatre troupe while gaining valuable experience in marketing and event coordination.
Desirable Skills:
1. Social Media Management: The ideal candidate should have experience in posting on social media platforms such as Facebook. Knowledge of social media advertising and content creation is highly desirable.
2. Graphic Design: Having a keen eye for graphic design would be highly desirable for creating eye-catching advertising for the theatre. The ability to design visually appealing promotional materials is a crucial aspect of this role.
3. Organization and Planning: The Volunteer Assistant will be responsible for organising floor/seating plans for our events. Strong organisational skills are essential to ensure smooth operations and create an enjoyable experience for our audience.
4. Distribution Marketing Management: The candidate should be capable of distributing or organising the distribution of flyers around the town. Efficient management of distribution channels is crucial to maximising the reach and impact of our marketing efforts.
5. Adaptability and Willingness to Learn: While prior experience in marketing or event coordination is desirable, we welcome individuals who are willing to learn and grow in this role. A positive attitude, adaptability, and eagerness to acquire new skills are highly valued. (We have a professional marketer who is willing to give the right candidate training if you're looking to sharpen or practise your skills in marketing)
6. Professional Representation: The Volunteer Assistant will need to represent the theatre in a pleasant, social, and professional manner within our community.
7. Time Availability: This position would suit a male or female candidate with flexible free time, as this position requires evening or weekend hours to accommodate theatre events and promotional activities.
