🎉 $50,000 BACK INTO OUR COMMUNITY! 🎉

Well, we’ve done it again! 💚

A massive CONGRATULATIONS to the 10 local community groups & organisations who have been successful in our 2026 Donald BNS Community Grants! 👏 Those groups are

Donald Golf & Bowls Club
Donald Lakeside Caravan Park
Donald & District Pony Club
Donald Cemetery Trust
Donald History Society
Donald Community Precinct
Donald Bingo
Donald Park Run
Donald Primary School
Outback Rally (Team Donald)

We’re bloody proud to be able to hand out $50,000 to help local groups make things happen right here in our little town. 🙌

To everyone who applied — THANK YOU! We had some ripper applications, and unfortunately we couldn’t say yes to everyone this time around.

If you missed out, don’t throw the towel in! Have another crack next time. 💪

That’s what community is all about — backing each other, having a crack and making Donald a bloody good place to live. ❤️

Congratulations to our 10 successful recipients — now go make some magic! 🎉

BNS giving back. That’s what we do. 💚

Donald BnS Inc. Community Grants Open This August

Following another hugely successful event in April, Donald BNS is once again giving back to the community through its new Community Grant Program.

Local not-for-profit organisations, clubs and community groups are invited to apply for grants ranging from $250 to $15,000 to help fund projects, programs, equipment purchases, events and initiatives that will benefit the Donald and surrounding community.

Over the years, Donald BnS has proudly reinvested event proceeds into a wide range of local projects and sponsorships. Previous funding has helped deliver the Giant Kookaburra, new seating around the football oval, colourful murals throughout the township, a free-to-use barbecue at the Donald Angling Club lake, fireworks at the Donald Show, new nets down at the Donald Jeffcott Cricket Club along with many other community group improvements and local initiatives.

Applications open on 1st August 2026 and close at 5:00 pm on 31st August 2026. Applications received after the closing time will not be considered. Only successful applicants will be notified by 30th September 2026.

Paper copy applications are available to collect from Buloke Garden Centre or follow the below link to online application form:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1S6D4hNIOlNJzwdMUNDIzHR_kY0nka6e5NdOAQUWHUg4/viewform?edit_requested=true

Donald BnS is proud to continue supporting projects that strengthen our community and encourages all eligible groups with ideas that will make a positive difference to apply.

On behalf of the Donald BNS Committee, I would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Jeffery family following the heartbreaking loss of young Layla.

There are no words that can ease the pain of losing someone so young. Our thoughts and prayers are with Layla’s family, friends, and everyone affected by this tragic loss especially our emergency service workers.

Please know that our community stands with you during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest peacefully, Layla.
