Meet Amie Brûlée coming soon to ARTOPIA - an event exclusively for Nillumbik Creatives!

Amie Brûlée is a musician, songwriter and storyteller. Her musical adventures and influences range from classical to jazz, cabaret to blues, flamenco to folk and she loves nothing more than finding a new way to interpret an old song.

Amie is also an anthropologist with a research interest in wine, gastronomy and pleasure. She is packing all of these things into her ARTOPIA suitcase and will sprinkle the event with music, stories, impromptu songs and playfulness.

Join Amie alongside Debby and Nicole from "Ask the Artist" to deep dive into the arts in Nillumbik - from the perspective of our creative folk. FREE & FUN!!

Every four years a new Arts and Culture Plan for Nillumbik Shire is developed. This time around, a number of local artists are running events and focus groups to ask people what they would like the future of arts and culture in Nillumbik to look like.

Nillumbik has long been renowned for fostering its deep connections to the arts and Council understands that creative communities and grassroots art practices are inherent to the Shire.

If you live, work or play in Nillumbik, you are invited to share your thoughts on all things arts and culture at one of the upcoming focus group sessions.

Sunday 7 March from 12pm, (until around 3pm) is the final day our ironwork exhibition will be open at Cube Z. Please drop in and look at the beautiful collection of forged steelwork.
Most items are for sale and there will be blacksmiths from the Australian Blacksmiths Association (Victoria) on hand if you want to ask any questions or have something special made.

The ironwork exhibition at Cube Z Diamond Creek is finally packing up on Sunday. From 12pm this Sunday 7 March we'll be open for a few hours for the last time.
Come and see some beautiful hand forged ironwork and meet a friendly blacksmith. All welcome.

Come and see some artworks in steel and meet a blacksmith! Cube Z gallery opposite Diamond Creek Tavern will be open 4pm-6pm this Saturday 20 February.
This ironwork exhibition will be closing soon, and we'd love to see some visitors on Saturday. Also, if you're interested in in taking up blacksmithing, we'll have members of the Australian Blacksmiths Association (Victoria) on hand for a chat. (They are very friendly and love to talk.)
We are assuming lockdown will be over by the weekend, fingers crossed!

Our gorgeous ironwork exhibition is packing up after this weekend. If you'd like to come and see the work of local blacksmiths, or buy a gift for a special person, and maybe have a chat to a friendly blacksmith, Cube Z (opposite Diamond Creek Tavern) is open from 4pm-6pm this Saturday 13 February.

The Australian Blacksmiths Association (Victoria) moved into Cube Z today. If you're looking for an unusual Chrissy gift for a super-hard-to-buy-for person, you might find something special here. Everything from steel pendants and keychains (from $15) to a six foot medieval candelabra.

To all our wonderful customers
You are all probably wondering what is happening to the fruit shop?!

Just before the new year our partners pulled out of the shop unexpectedly.
Leaving us with a big decision to walk away or take over the shop ourselves.
We have decided to STAY and take over the shop.
We love it here in Diamond Creek, we are definitely not ready to let go.
We have made so many friends along the way, and let’s face it Diamond Creek has always had a special spot in our hearts.
While we did go on a fabulous holiday with the family we knew we were coming back to a stressful and frustrating time a head.
Due to the timing of the partners pulling out, this process has taken a while.
Right now we are going through the motions with our solicitor and landlord to try and get the fruit shop up and running ASAP!
Please be patient it is just as frustrating for us as it is for you.
If anyone has any questions please don’t hesitate to private message us and we will try and get back to you as soon as we can.
